Chairman praises a hectic weekend.

What a busy few days we have had, the weekend has been a blur as the full force of team Forfar Athletic kicked into action.
On Saturday morning the pitch was full of local youngsters being put through their paces by coaches and players from FAFC, SFA and Forfar Boys, a massive thank you to all concerned and we have received very good feedback already.
On Saturday evening the supporter’s club put on another very successful event as the Plough Inn was the venue for their race night, all those who attended enjoyed the evening’s entertainment and once again the committee of the supporter’s club produced another fantastic evening.
On Sunday at the Reid Hall in Forfar ex director Mike McEwan hosted another one of his now legendary concerts to the thrill and enjoyment of a full house. The usual high standard was in full evidence and again there was an army of unseen helpers in the background making it all happen – so thanks to all concerned. In between all of that we had a fine win versus Stenhousemuir, and our 19’s lost out narrowly to Stirling Albion going down 4-3 to a last minute penalty.
These events are the backbone of the club financially and as a means of forging a community spirit. There are far too many people to mention, but you all know who you are – I thank you all for your continued support and can only praise your for your efforts.
