Alloa Athletic v Forfar Athletic - Match Preview
[Friday, 21 December 2012 09:40]
The ‘Loons’ will go in to Saturday’s match against second placed Alloa Athletic at Recreation Park in good heart following their last minute winner on Tuesday night at Albion Rovers.
They will also be keen to avenge a 3-2 defeat from the ‘Wasps’ at Station Park in early October.
Dick Campbell’s side are undefeated so far in the month of December, while Paul Hartley’s side after becoming the first side to ‘lower the colours’ of runaway leaders Queen of the South last midweek, then surprisingly lost 3-2 down at Stranraer on the Saturday.
The visitors will go into the game with no fresh injury worries with the manager having the unusual luxury this term, with the return of Jamie Bishop from his loan spell at Stirling Albion, of a twenty man pool to select from.
Despite the horrendous overhead conditions the squad went through a bouncy training session at the park on Thursday evening in preparation for the contest.
The match, brought forward from it’s original Boxing Day slot, will be handled by first season Grade One official Andrew Dallas.
