Forfar Athletic v East Fife - Match Preview
[Friday, 28 December 2012 12:01]
Dick Campbell’s ‘troops’ will go into tomorrow ’s home game with the men from Methil determined to improve their recent league record which has seen them record only two wins and a draw from their last nine outings, albeit they have also won a couple of Scottish Cup ties in that period.
The ‘Loons’ injury problems continue to clear with goalkeeper Derek Soutar available for action once again. Only Odmar Faeroe who is probably two weeks away from ‘active service’ and Keith Gibson remain sidelined, although Stephen Tulloch will be an absenteetomorrow as he begins a three match suspension following his last minute indiscretion at Alloa last Saturday. The Bayview outfit have seen an upturn in fortunes since the experienced Billy Brown took over the reins from Gordon Durie who had to stand aside due to illness. They will also be encouraged by the news this week that influential midfielder Bobby Barr looks set to make his loan move from Livingston permanent. Earlier in the season the Fifers had an exceptionally comfortable 3-0 win over the Station Park outfit at Methil, so revenge will also be on the mind of the homesters at 3p.m. tomorrow . The match is the first of two important home games for Forfar with Brechin also due to come calling on Wednesday of next week. Tomorrow ’s contest sponsored by W.F. Barker Ltd and the Drovers Inn will be refereed by first season Ayrshire based Grade One official Kevin Graham who will be making his Station Park debut.
