Jack Simpson

Many of our supporters especially those of a more vintage variety would have noted the death at the age of 89 on Friday of last week of Jack Simpson.
Jack well known for many a year in the agricultural sector throughout Angus and beyond and also in the scouting movement was also a former Director and Vice Chairman of Forfar Athletic.
He became a Director in the early seventies serving for a couple of years as Vice Chairman under David Callander. He continued for some years as a member of the board under Sam Smith’s chairmanship and continued to be a regular on the Station Park terraces until illness took it’s toll.
The sympathies of the current Directors are extended at this time to Dorothy, John and Avril and the rest of his family.
His funeral service is due to take place in the East and Old Parish Church on Friday morning at 10.15 am.
