Forfar Athletic Sportsmans Dinner

Table bookings are now being taken for what remarkably is the club’s 18th annual Sportsman’s Dinner. The venue as ever is the Reid hall, the date Friday May 17th.

The organisers are delighted to have put together an entertaining line-up with all three speakers making their first appearance at the event. Lancastrian Fred Eyre will be heading over the border to entertain the audience with his fund of stories from his varied career as a professional footballer and coach with a multitude of lower league clubs, prior to embarking on a successful business career. He is also now a renowned author and radio pundit.

West of Scotland based Phil Differ is making a big name for himself on the after dinner circuit these days. Phil a comedian in his own right is most notably a former Producer and Director as well as the main script write for BBC television’s Only an Excuse as well s contributing to Off the Ball and other well know radio shows.

Keeping the ‘local flag’ flying on the night will be hilarious Carnoustie based sporting impressionist Paul Reid and compere for the evening the ‘Loons’ own Dick Campbell.

The cost of a table for ten has been pegged by the Directors at £350 with around seventy per cent of the available tables already booked.
