End of Season Play-Offs

With the collapse of the re-construction issue following the SPL meeting on Monday, , the ‘Loons’ now know that we are back to square one as far as play-off qualification is concerned with a fourth place finish required for a spot in the end of season ‘shoot-out.’
It is obviously a straight fight between Arbroath and ourselves for that coveted position with Dick Campbell’s men trying to protect a two point lead over the ‘Lichties.’ Following this Saturday’s game against the double winners Queen of the South at Station Park, we make the long journey to Stranraer on the 27th, before entertaining Ayr United on May 4th.
Paul Sheerin’s outfit are at home to Stranraer this weekend, before a trip to Ayr a week later, followed by a visit from Alloa Athletic on the season’s final day.
The first leg of the play-offs are due on Wednesday May 8th, with Brechin and Alloa certain to clash, who will be at home in the first leg still to be thrashed out. As for either Arbroath or ourselves it looks like a home leg on the 8th against either Dunfermline Athletic following their 15 point penalty, Cowdenbeth or Dumbarton.
The second leg’s of the semi finals are due on Saturday May 11th with the final dates Wednesday May 15th and Sunday May 19th.
