The ‘Loons’ players provided their manager and the supporters with the victory they craved with a hard-fought 1-0 success against Annan Athletic on Saturday.
The crowd on the day, very similar in numbers to our last home game, was again slightly disappointing, but hopefully some of the missing supporters will return by the time Elgin City are visitors in our next home league fixture in three weeks’ time.
However, a big thank you to the members of the ‘Loons’ faithful who were in the stand and on the terracing to witness our first win in six outings; rest assured your backing is so appreciated.
Our match sponsor at yesterday’s match, Jamie Milne of J. Milne Electrical in the town, has been a superb supporter of the ‘Loons’ cause in many a different way in recent times, not least as the club’s diligent electrician when problems occur.
Jamie, your support over the course of the season and in particular yesterday afternoon is so much appreciated by all at Station Park, and it was so pleasing to note that your guests appeared to have their usual enjoyable day.
Jamie’s party chose goal scorer Luca Perrie as the Athies Man of the Match.
We are delighted to report that all four hospitality lounges were fully occupied on the day, into the bargain.

It was a first-time visit from a party of staff and patrons from the Thistle in Forfar. A special thank you to proprietor David Findlay, who celebrated two years in command of the East Port hostelry the other week for this support, and we trust we may be able to count on further backing in the future.
